Exhibition on display until Saturday Oct 26.

The Inexorable Evolution of Art is a space art exhibition examining how space exploration and related technologies are being used to transform art and culture, and inspire a new generation of innovators. Representing the works of over 50 internationally acclaimed space artists, Revolutions will feature a variety of space artworks including art derived from space technologies, art designed for microgravity environments, orbital art, and art inspired by space developments.

Slated to tour nationally, the CSS is debuting Revolutions on September 12th with a star studded benefit event at Endeavor.  Proceeds from this event will go to the Alberta Arts Flood Rebuild initiative in support of artists and arts communities who were affected by the 2013 floods.

The event will include space-inspired live music and dance performances, fashion shows, special guest appearances, and a DJ party that promises to be one of the highlights of the Beakerhead art and technology festival. Local artists featured in the Revolutions flood benefit event include: conceptual space artist Bryan Versteeg, wearable art designers Dee Fontans and Eric Willis, sculptor Jeff de Boer, film maker and artist Brian Batista, Momentum Dance Collective, DJ Fayyaz Khimani of Pez Productions and many more!
