AK Social Club: A unique experience for tattoo and art enthusiasts
The Ascending Koi artists are a multi faceted group of individuals who express themselves not only through the art of tattoo but through many diverse mediums. The focus of the AK Social Club is to showcase the diversity & talents of the studio’s tattooists; and to promote the merging parallels between the fine art and tattoo communities.
On Friday May 23rd from 8pm-11pm Ascending Koi Tattoo and Apparel will be teaming up with Endeavor Arts to host the Ascending Koi Studio’s very first fine art show.!
Enjoy food, drinks, on site zombie/super hero portraits, giveaways and local DJ’s while you peruse the art for sale, socialize or just make community connections!

Featuring 10 beautiful new works inspired by what we cannot see such as the shape of sounds, energy, vibrations, the photons the human body emits. Artist Patrick Rochon is a true visionary and outstanding light painter in Canada and has created these Limited Edition Series exclusively for his first Calgary show.

We are thrilled to host Montreal artist Patrick Rochon. This exhibition represents not only the expression of light human bodies emit but the extensive experience and technique the artist has acquired throughout the years.
“Most of what shapes reality is unseen.
I’ve been fascinated by what we can’t see. Like the shape of sounds, energy, vibrations, feelings, the photons our bodies emits.
Light is invisible until it touches something. Vibrations made by our voices have the most intricate shapes as we can see with cymatics. The work of Dr. Masaru Emoto shows us that we are directly influencing and shaping our surrounding through our intentions.
The planets in relationship to one another move in beautiful patterns similar to sacred geometry.
If you look at a mandala, at sacred geometry, at fractals, at patterns used in art or observed in nature such as the Golden Ratio spiral you see a connection that links it all.”

The purpose of this exhibition is to highlight the works of 11 Canadian artists that include elements of design, technology and art, such as kinetic art, digital and mixed media art, 3D design, 3D printing and of course, fashion.
